Intended uses-
While
it may work on other applications the SD-1 is designed for a 16" barrel
with a Carbine length gas system. On a 22LR or a 9mm they can be used
on any length barrel down to 10".
Example would be a 16" barrel with a YHM Specter length rail system or one of our Spikes lightweight rails in the 9" version.
Method of Attachment-
The SD-1 shrouds back over the barrel adding no length to the barrel.
Appearance-
With the SD-1 installed back into your rail system your 16" rifle will have the appearance of an SD suppressed rifle.
Thread pitch-
1/2 x 28
Length-
6.75"
Diameter-
1.50"
Weight-
6 oz.
Make sure your rail or free float tube has enough clearence for the SD-1 to fit inside.
Material-
These cans are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum.
Finish-
Anodized Flat black.
Please Note-
THESE ARE ONLY FOR LOOKS. IT IN NO WAY MAKES THE WEAPON MORE QUIET - NO STAMP NEEDED.
General rule on threads-
Most Production barrels for 223/5.56 would be 1/2x28, needing a -1 Fake Can,
Most Production barrels for 9mm (ie. Colt, RRA etc.) would be 1/2x36, needing a -2 Fake Can. There have been a number of other calibers also done in 1/2x36.
This
is ONLY a general rule, not a hard and fast rule, we do not guarantee
your threads will fall under this rule, it is for guidance only.
